It just doesn't feel like it is saving any time. So what is the point of the whole system?

I didn't even know about the daylight savings until Sunday evening when I was listening to the radio in my car. Lucky I caught or else I would've missed my 8a.m. class today!

In actuality, daylight savings does not save us time.
The entire system was meant to save electricity during the change of the season. It also helped the farmers on their agriculture and the U.S. soldiers during the past wars. I'm sure there is more reasons than what I have mentioned.
