That is the reason for your not voting for Kerry. But I don't see how that it is equivalent to voting for Bush. Voting for a president is not a binary decision. Other options include voting for a third party candidate or not voting at all.

Allright, President Bush is the person whose thinking and stance on issues is the most similar to mine. The only issue he and I disagree on is the enforcement of the borders, but that's a discussion for another thread and another day.

None of the 3rd party candidates share my views, if they did, I'd vote for them. I don't stick with the "oh, he has a better chance of winning, so I MUST vote for him." I'll give you an example: Tom McClintock was the most ideal candidate for the CA governor IMO, and even though I knew he would NOT get elected, I didn't go with the Arnie crowd, but I stuck to my beliefs and voted for Tom.

Same with this election. Bush and I share the same views on most issues from terrorism to morality.

I could see the morality working if you're deeply christian, but terrorism? This man has only made the world hate us more by invading a soveign arab nation under false pretenses.

I gotta say the democrats could have picked a better candidate... for sure. I really just frickin wished the republicans picked a better candidate though. Is it alarming to anyone else that he's so close-minded and certain? I know it's politically nescessary to do it... but even Dick Cheney was like "well... Saddam had billions and he was planning to fund terrorists from his oil money."

I don't get what is up with you people and your terrorism scares! Hillary Clinton, although being a (biased democract instilling fear in a political season) came out and said that 5.6 BILLION dollars was spent on an antrax vaccine. While ~300 MILLION would be needed for a year of flu vaccines. Assuming that the facts are distorted, and adjust to counter spin... so much of this terrorism threat is bullshit. Iraq was bullshit.

What has this president done that is good? I don't understand how so many people can vote for a man that put us in a war that now shows no evidence of being warranted. I don't care what you got on how bad Kerry MIGHT be, look at the original post about Bush, most of this stuff is true! Kerry may be a health care nut, but hes at least a lot more thoughtful and tactical then Bush.

Funny you said that...we make mistakes here and there and Kerry and Bush both have flaws...Kerry has 20 + Years In Gov't

....and bush....? Didn't win his seat in Congress years ago, and has only held ONE public elected office since being president! So what about his short record?

But hey...If you want to fall for those scare taticts that's fine..... I can see the new Bush Ad coming soon.....

"Vote for Kerry and you will Die" or maybe "If Kerry wins EVERYONE DIES" Give me a break, all these people saying Kerry is going to do a bad job....

I can say I don't like either one BUT we must choose the lesser of 2 evils.

Anyways, you don't have to listen to me, BUT i suggest everyone think about it, because sticking your ballot in that BOX is democracy, and that is your right, No matter who we choose I'm sure we will all be fine. As long as there is NO Draft.

I agree with whole "Better Candidate" statement, The top three in the 1st Election in IOWA where 1. Kerry 2. Edwards and 3. Dean, and that just messed up everything, Kerry won the first state then all this Press/media is on him and more people are going to vote for him cause he won. I believe we should of all had the elections all in the same day. So everyone is even.

Good Night

"Do you know USA doesn't go by popular vote?"

I prefer popular vote than the electoral college. Doesn't Taiwan and Japan have popular vote? Electoral college is so 1890s...

America doesn't go by popular vote for many many reasons. If you search google I'm sure you can find the reasons. The truth is, most of the original reasons don't stand anymore; Senators USED TO BE done in a similiar fashion. They're much happier that they don't have to deal with it. Presidents? Well... the republicans of our country are so polarized and happy that Bush won last time via electoral college, despite losing the popular vote... and they believe in state power. All in all... i think within the next 25 years we'll see it switch to popular vote.

It sure as hell is confusing otherwise!
