![]() | Bagle Worm is Spreading An Urgent Message to the Campus Community Regarding the Bagle.j Worm Spreading on E-mail All users of Microsoft Windows operating systems are vulnerable to a new mass-mailing worm spreading across the Internet. At Cal Poly Pomona, the Bagle.j worm masquerades as an official csupomona e-mail, asking users to open the attachment. Opening the attachment allows the same message to be sent to all e-mail contacts on the victim machine and can create additional problems. Is on the front page of csupomona.edu website. Be careful. I think I have received one email so far. |

![]() | I heard about that virus. The virus appeared in January. "According to Ken Dunham, Director of Malicious Code for iDEFENSE Inc., more than 50,000 interceptions of the worm—known both as Bagel.A and Beagle.A—have already been noted by security firms. "Bagel started gaining significant ground in the wild as the work week resumed in Asia. Bagel appears to have gained the most ground initially in Europe, where it was first detected with the greatest prevalence." Source: http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,4149,1450388,00.asp
