![]() | Already 2004 Olympic Games?! Wow! The best sports event is starting August 2004 in Athens, Greece. Plus we have the 2004 Presidential Election. Let's just hope no future terrorist strikes occur.

| Active Member | I cant wait to see the FIFA world cup 06 at Germany! Mexico will beat US, if they happen to play, I still cant believe US beated Mexico 2-0 on round of 16 finals. Probably I will attend one game.

![]() | Already August. The Athens 2004 Olympics Opening Ceremony commenced today. The Olympics will go until the 29th. It will be exciting to watch the best athletes from around the world compete against one another. ![]() And soccer is called "football."

Two-time Olympic medalist Kim Rhode, a junior Animal & Veterinary Sciences student, has traveled to Athens, Greece, to compete as a trapshooter in the 2004 Summer Olympic Games, Aug. 13-29. Found this on the frontpage of Cal Poly website: Kim Rhode Wins Gold in Last Olympic Women's Double Trap Cal Poly Pomona's Kim Rhode won the gold medal in women's double trap on Aug. 18 in Athens, Greece, becoming the first and last winner of the Olympic event. Rhode, an Animal & Veterinary Sciences junior, won with a score of 146, one ahead of South Korea's Lee Bo Na who scored 145 to take silver. China's Gao E took the bronze with 142 points.
