Introduction to Marketing Principles
Software for Learning about Marketing Strategy

The booklet costs $21.95 at the student bookstore.
The website for the game is http://www.business-sims.com/i2m/

The booklet has a copyright so I won't be posting anything out of the booklet.
I am planning on starting the game this weekend.
If you need help on the project, post it here and I'll try to work with you.

My teacher is Truong. I bought that game today too. Hopefully I can handle it.

The International Business and Marketing department requires that all IBM 301 students purchase and perform the Applied Marketing Principles software program. This information will also be covered in class.

The assignment in my class includes performing 16 quarters (4 quarters / 4 years) of the marketing simulation and maintaining a journal on the progress. The journal format follows:

Each quarter's Evaluation should be the driving force for the following quarter's Action. If I can not make that connection OR understand your logic in your Actions, you will not get all of your points.
You MUST USE MY FORMAT (above). The journal provided in the program is NOT what I want. If you do not use my format, you will get only half or less of the points.

Outcome: You will submit all 16 quarters of your journal AND the financial printouts for the completed 16 quarters or the 17 quarter.

IBM 301 Computer Game for Professor Boyes-Hyslop is due this Friday, November 21, 2003.

Worth 100 points total. Be sure to update your journals for each decision period and record all your decisions and your results.

I remember that game. I made a few bucks, but nothing stellar. Thankfully, my professor didn't make getting a record net income a requirment.

I had a hard time starting out also. I finished the last four weeks the week before it is due.

Wasn't fun for me since my ending balance before the retirement was in the negative range.

Sure hope it doesn't lower my final grade.

I did the game in my IBM class with prof shields...I did very bad and had a huge negative amount haha. He said he would grade based on the decisions you made and how you tied it to the class not on how much money you actually made (or loss haha)
