IBM 301 Boyes-Hyslop Final Essay Question

IBM 301 Professor Boyes-Hyslop Final Essay Question:

What is the Landbridge?

Why? Panamal Canal is very volatile and the countries along the Panamal Canal does not get along with other country.

1) Pollitical unrest in Panama
2) Many of theships today are too large (will not fit into the Panamal Canal)
Panagonea, around the Chile, where the wind gets reflected by the Indes mountain.
3) Time consuming and very expensive.

Landbridge is used by the trains and trains alone. The problem is that commerce mess around with the landbridge system. Billions of dollars have been invested on the infrastructure.
The landbridge is sealed and restricted for train transportation only. The shipment is never opened in the middle of the transportation.
Off-loading, freight cost, load charges. Overall, it is cheaper than other methods.
Transporting through the north part of South America is impossible due to tropical conditions, separate countries and therefore, very costly.

Good luck on your IBM essay finals.

IBM Final

I had trouble finding the definitions of these subjects/terms:

Market Segmentation Strategy
Added value to a brand name - what is it called?

Department store erosion
Customary Pricing

if someone could leave the definition/page numbers/where it is in the notes where these subjects/terms are located, it would be greatly appreciated.
