Golf & Other Outdoor KIN class for Winter

Has anyone taken kinesiology classes during winter quarter?
I am hoping to take Intro to Golf for Winter but the idea that it might rain frequently during the winter season is a letdown.

Where do the kinesiology students go (for golf and outdoor activities) if it rains pretty hard outside?

I've taken softball class before and when it rained, the instructor took attendance role and let the students leave.

I took golf in fall just to have it with friends. I have been playing for 8 yrs and also teach golf to my students on the side. The teacher isn't good, and you won't learn the proper mechanics, but you will be able to hit a ball.

If it rains, he will cancel class and probably just go watch a golf dvd like we did.

I took both the Beginners and the Advanced golf class last year too and the instructor cancels each class if the grass field is soak and wet and continues to rain in the morning (affects winter quarter).

Since the class size is rather large, don't expect to get a professional lesson. But I did learn all the basic essentials from taking the class and getting outside lessons from experienced golfers. For those that are planning to take the class, I recommend you go out to a tee driving range and a few 9-holes for a 'hands on' practice. And learn the basics of the basic by reading books, watch tutorial dvds, reading online. Learning the proper way to swing your club is critical, is like night and day when going out to the range.
