One of our main objectives is to provide programs and events that contribute to the professional development of our members. These include guest speakers, workshops, and participation and support of internship programs. In addition, the Society is committed to making the student experience at Cal Poly more gratifying. |

![]() | Committees All members have the opportunity to pick a committee of choice when they join the E-Business Society. The E-Business Society is made up of seven committees. These committees are the frameworks of our organization. Each of these committees is designed to plan or perform specific functions. They provide the opportunity to develop valuable business skills, interact with other business students, administrators, faculty, and company recruiters. Descriptions of the seven committees and their respective events are listed below. ITC Competition Responsible for organizing the Information Technology Competition. The Information Technology Competition is a forum in which teams of students from West Coast Universities apply their skills in information technology to real-world business scenarios to the best of their abilities. E-Business Consortium Responsible for organizing the E-Business Consortium. The E-Business Consortium serves as a platform for organizing a wide range of activities that would provide opportunities for industry providers and consumers to share information on innovative E-Business solutions and deployment challenges while enhancing the E-Business learning experience at Cal Poly Pomona. EBZ Book Committee Responsible for promoting and collecting faculty books for the EBZ book project in conjunction with the EBZ Book Exchange project. The Events Committee Coordinates events designated for team building. Events include intramural sports, the E-Business BBq, Faculty Brunch, and the Awards Banquet. E-Business Programming Committee Responsible for planning 6 events per quarter, which must be decided at the beginning of each quarter. The events should be technology based and E-Business related to include each specific career track. The Community Involvement Committee Plan all of the E-Business Society's volunteer efforts. The Fundraising Committee Plan all events designed to increase the outside revenue portion of our budget. This results in largely reducing the cost of the E-Business Society events.
