Welcome to our exciting Fall 2006 line-up of classes, team training, dance parties and more! We have some really great events planned for this quarter, including classes in Tango, ChaCha, NightClub Two-step, International Dance workshops, and weekly team training sessions.

We're starting off our Thursday classes for Fall quarter this week with three weeks of the Tango! This series of lessons will provide an introduction to this passionate and sensual dance, teaching basic Tango steps and patterns.

The classes go from 8:00pm to 9:15pm. This week's class will be in the Architecture Building, Room 05-225. We're planning on having four rooms of Tango classes to accommodate everyone! The second and third
weeks will be in the Chumash Auditorium in Cal Poly's University Union. After each class, there is open dancing until 10pm to practice what you learned. No partner or previous dance experience is needed!

Here is a summary of the class dates and locations:
Week 1 - Thursday, Sep 28 - Arch Building 5, Room 225
Week 2 - Thursday, Oct 5 - Chumash Auditorium
Week 3 - Thursday, Oct 12 - Chumash Auditorium
Time: 8:00-9:15pm

Want to try our the Argentine Tango? We're having a workshop this Friday, September 29th at 6pm in the Fitness Room at Cal Poly's Rec Center. This is a great opportunity to try this original style of Tango. For more information, see http://www.slotango.org/Workshop0609.htm

A week from this Saturday, we're having our Welcome Back Dance in Cal Poly's Chumash Auditorium! Dance to your favorite songs on a huge dancefloor (4800 square feet!). We'll be playing popular club music that you can Ballroom Dance to (Tango, ChaCha, Salsa, Swing, Waltz, Rumba, Foxtrot, Samba, Hustle, and more.)

We're starting with a introductory ChaCha lesson at 7:30pm, and then kicking off the dancing from 8:30pm until midnight! All this for only $5.00!
