AVG and NOD32 >>>>>>>>>>>>> Norton (which is a big resource hog, BTW). When I switched from Norton to AVG, it was able to pick up several trojans that Norton was supposedly too "stubborn" to find.
Even if you use Firefox, some spyware is still bound to make its way in. The problem is, as Firefox gets more and more used mainstream, it increases the potential for those "hackers" to take the time and purposely look for loopholes. Luckily though, when the first real security hole was found in Firefox, a patch was released almost instantaneously..... .. whereas it can take MS couple/several months to cough up an IE update. |
