A: That would be my very first job at McDonald's. UGH. Very hot working conditions behind the grill and I had to wear a long-sleeved shirt. The guy showing me how to scoop up the burger patties two at a time onto the buns told me to use my thumb to push them off the spatula. Excuse me! There's boiling hot grease and you want me to put my thumb on that?? And I don't recall anyone wearing gloves back there either. You know those vats of hot oil they fry things in? They supply it from huge buckets of vegetable shortening. That stuff is worse for you than lard, believe it or not. But anyway, that stint only last for the three months of summer I had to wait until my first year at college started.
