Negating games, and the fact that Apple's hardware is overpriced compared to similar performing PCs...what are the main points that attract people on this forum to Windows, x86 Unixes, or Mac OS?
To me, Mac OS X embodies a clean, if somewhat non-customizable, design, excellent development API (Cocoa), a Unix-based back-end, and a philosophy of consistency.
Perhaps the last one is something that Microsoft should also force developers to adhere to, I don't need to
find where preferences is depending on the developer's taste...it's always under the menu that bears the name of the application...I don't need to look in Edit or Tools or whatever.
