| Talking about misleading people, this happened just today. My coworker regularly uses sqldev.net as a reference for some of his work. Today by accident he went to sqldev.COM instead of .NET and BAM his computer was hit with loads of very aggressive spyware. He's no beginner, but even he had a tough time dealing with it. Porn isn't the only nasty thing out there.
BTW whatever you do, DO NOT VISIT sqldev.com! Not unless you want your computer to be infected. All you have to do is visit and it will install all sorts of crap without you clicking a single thing. (You might be safe if you're using a Mac or Linux, but I don't know. I wouldn't risk it.) |
