My sister wants to do her post-graduate at Davis, they have a very strong Veterinary Science program. Other than that I'm not sure what they are well known for. The only other thing I know is that the area is very flat and a lot of people bike themselves around.
SLO was one of the 4 places I applied to out of high school. I applied for their Journalism program because I thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately it was a very impacted major, meaning TONS of people wanted to get into that. I got rejected.
It's just as well though, because I work in computers now.
