I didn't take chm 121 at cal poly, but the experiences I've had with other classes is that it's not possible to take them separately.

Also, override tickets are a thing of the past. If you want to add a class, you go up and talk to the professor. If they let you in, they give you an "override number". Then you're supposed to go into broncodirect and enter this number, but I couldn't find out how. I ended up going to the registrar's office, gave them the override number, and they did it for me.
