I opted to do a roommate switch last year, and found it to be very easy. It might depend on your CSD [coordinator of student development]. All you need to do is go in and talk to both your RA and CSD, have a valid reason for wanting a switch and where you'd like to be moved to. Then, within the next few weeks, the CSD will call back with possible moves. Then, you have the opportunity to go and meet the other people living in those rooms who would be your new roommates. Afterwards, you just call back with the desired room. I decided at the last minute to not go through with the switch, but was nice to know about how easy and carefree it was. Most of the people in my dorm were all pretty cool. What dorm did you get into? Hope this helps! |
