*I only know this because I am totally hoping to get into Cal Poly myself* Cal Poly doesnt care if you are international. It's all point based. They have an actual formula that they put you against that makes a number. Then they take the number of seats available and fill them according to the highest numbers. I read online that something like 27,000 people competed for the 3,200 spots available at the school.
