Comant Industries is seeking an applicant that will assist Operations in meeting the demands of our growing business.
The candidate will be expected to perform duties associated with forecasting, scheduling, shop floor process evaluation, work center capacity evaluations and MRP data input and extraction. Training and direction will be provided as necessary to aide in the candidate's performance success.
Skills: Applicants must have a BA in Business Administration (Operations emphasis), BS in Industrial Engineering, or BS in Manufacturing Engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities: Starts August 2003
1. Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in loading and unloading trucks trucks and in moving and storing materials or products. Assign job task to workers according to loading and unloading schedules and observe loading of trucks to determine corformance to loading patterns and to prvent shifting or damage to materials or products during transit. Verify materials loaded or unloaded against work order or bill of lading. Direct workers to move materials or products to storage areas or production departments.
2. Train new employees in job duties. Develop improved performance of employees through feedback and coaching. Draw conclusions from coaching and analyze to determine if further action is necessary to meet satisfactory production levels. Ensure effecctive performance management of assigned employees while creating a teamwork environment.
3. Provide a clean, safe environment for all personnel and visiting customers. Foster safe handling, loading and storage of hazarouds materials as provided by the Department of Transportation.
4. Ensure that all work is performed according to company approved procedures, standards and specifications for dock operations.
Minimum Requirements:
1. College Juniors or Seniors with GPA 2.75 or above
2. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations. Strong interpersonal skills to create conditions for cooperation and high standards of performance from subordinates.
3. STrong organizational skills
4. Ability to work 20-40 hours a week including weekends.
