Peregrine is an unknown quantity at this point
Well, you are now right. While staff writers and guest writers never got paid for their work (they got course credit or resume material), staff editors were paid a very modest sum for their trouble, which could amount to about 30 hours a week of work in the office (not counting interviewing, research, etc.) But because of the current money troubles, the staff is entirely unpaid.

The trouble with publishing a newspaper just once a month is that advertisers are not interested in getting their message out so infrequently. That's the same trouble with bi-weekly. The Poly Post could probably considerably expand their ad revenues if they were to publish daily, but of course that would require more production money than it was worth. It's a catch 22.
