Yosemite is probably about a 7 hour drive from here. Not the most interesting drive because you spend about 3 hours driving straight through the central valley. hehe

Yosemite is famous for Half Dome, El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls. Yosemite Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in the world at 2,425 feet. Split into three sections Upper Falls, Middle Cascades, and Lower Falls. The upper falls is the greatest single unobstructed freefall in the world.

El Capitan is the largest piece of exposed granite in the world at over 3,000 feet from base to top.

There is a lot about Yosemite that makes it great. I suggest reading a book about Yosemite or just going there someday. You won't regret doing it once you do.
