WHAT IS GOOD TEACHING?
1. Places theory into reality; integrates concepts with real life and the outside world. (Never fails.)
2. Uses engaging lectures to keep students' attention and is interactive.
3. Isn't just lecturing, but includes creative learning activities (e.g. group projects, case studies, discovery by doing, games/demos, story-telling).
4. Occurs when the teacher is enthusiastic and excited; is passionate about teaching.
5. Involves a flexible teaching style that is adjusted to meet student needs and learning styles.
WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS AN INSTRUCTOR CAN DO OR USE TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO LEARN?
1. Teach through tangible, real-life examples. Relate materials to the real world.
2. Give incentives to students who actively participate. (Yeah, give us them extra credits on the 9th and 10th week.

3. Teach by visual examples. Use PowerPoint.
4. Give meaningful work and extra credit.
5. Make classes as interactive as possible.

1. Going in depth and relating it to certain experiences; comprehend, understand what you've heard or seen.
2. Altering your paradigm.
3. Being fair to both sides of an argument.
4. Looking at an idea from more than one perspective. Asking why.

HOW DO INSTRUCTORS GET YOU TO THINK CRITICALLY?
1. Design in-class group discussions, then combine the class later. (Works for me.)
2. Use real life examples.
3. Switch roles: Let students become teachers.
4. Challenge beliefs and assumptions.
5. Encourage questions, respond positively, allow for wrong answers.
WHAT KINDS OF FEEDBACK DO YOU GET FROM YOUR INSTRUCTORS THAT HELP YOU LEARN THE MOST?
1. Personalized instruction.
2. Provide honest feedback, even if negative.
3. Provide detailed feedback, both positive and negative.
4. Use open-ended, constructive, objective, conversational feedback.
5. Comment on papers as to why I am not getting an "A." (This one sounds like a good step on providing feedbacks.)

1. Keep me heading in the right direction.
2. Using feedback for improvement.

1. Give examples of real life situations. Personal examples from experience. (I enjoy listening instructors digress once in awhile.
