Spring Quarter Registration - How to Find the Right Professor

Is that time again where students need to choose which course to take and which professor to take the course with.
Who wants to take a course with a difficult professor that examines your paper like a new patent submission.

Here is a quick strategy for those that wants to know whether the professor is good or bad. Visit the class that the professor is teaching and wait until the classroom is over. Once the class is over, talk to one of the student that steps out of the classroom and ask questions. The answer from the colleague can be biased. It is up to you to ask different students if necessary.
Next option (not sure if its useful), go talk to the professor yourself and start a short conversation. Since you are not in the class, ask a general question such as, "How should I study for the upcoming exam?" You can get a sense of the professor's style just by her/his response.

Hope that helps.
