Defcon is a security convention held every two years if im correct in las vegas, last time they held a wardriving competition to see who could pick up the most ap's
obviously those running linux and using kismet won over the those running netstumber(not that I have anything againt netstumbler just that it only works on ap's that have beacon frames on).
