Up to now, there has been 35 break-ins at Cal Poly Pomona's parking lot.
A CRS resident introduced a plan that might deter future break-ins on campus.. Having a computerized license plate database stored for the parking officers may know which vehicles have permit to park on campus.
The thing is, how exactly could the parking officer check each and every car whether the license plate number is stored on the database. And I'm sure Cal Poly students may break-in/damage other Cal Poly student's vehicle. Therefore, the system may not be effective.
1) Invest in a cheap car club for the steering wheel.
2) Take your stereo faceplate off.
3) Never leave personal goods where visible.
Less chance of future break-ins.
