At least the recaps are getting better. at least it contain more info than in the past. Anyways hopefully the struggles for the men and women end next week against SF state and Monterey.
getting better? than what? sixth grade level reporting? once again, no stats were posted for the mens game. and over on the womens side, no data at all are posted on the entire team--the web says "file not found."

and you say there was a podcast? that's great when NOBODY KNOWS IT. that's like having a debate with an empty chair. unless they were just "practicing" to their own personal tape recorder. two years ago we not only had webcasts for every game, but also a number of videocasts. one of the classics, versus the hated coyotes, is still posted online.

now, on to the teams. when our five time national champion women lose at home to somebody called "armstrong atlantic" and our conference contender men are forced to go on the road to play a bottom tier NAIA school and also lose, we appear to be in for a very long season. and because neither team did the prep work to the depth that a program like san bernardino did now we're already going into league play next with two wandering, little tested teams, both winless.

don't blame the coaches, though. they do the best they can with the little they are given. it just seems we are falling farther and farther behind, and the minimal support the university offers makes matters worse.

lorena marquez is doing some good things to market our teams, but if they appear dazed and listless and keep blowing big halftime leads as both teams did last night we'll be back to having "crowds" of 200-300.

the only good news is we draw the weakest program in the conference, at home, to open league play. but winning by two or three points won't get it done, or this campaign will be long and ugly.
