Hello everyone,
The
CalPolyWiki page has been successfully installed and ready for our members' contributions. However, I would like to get some suggestions on how to categorize the contents as CalPolyWiki will be an online encyclopedia for both California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO) and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona).
If you visit the main Wikipedia homepage, the top section displays the "Today's Featured Articles" and "In The News" and the topics are changed daily to reflect new articles and current news. What we can do is select a popular and widely talked about news from each campus and post it once a week or every two weeks.
The middle section can have brief info about the universities and relevant links to direct visitors to learn more about the universities. New visitors like parents and their high school students are very interested on the admission policy, criteria, application period, calculating GPA+SAT, and etc. Freshmen are interested in what clubs and organizations are available at the university. Seniors might be interested in the graduate programs within the university that they are attending or at the other Cal Poly university. The topics are endless and maybe we can alternate the links in the middle section when necessary.
The bottom section is open for suggestions. We could post "Did You Know?" articles that includes interesting facts that not many students would already know. I'll come up with some more ideas.
Finally, Cal Poly forum members can access the wikipedia usercp page simply by logging in into their forum account. One account allows you to fully access all futures of both the forum and the wikipedia page as well as the
directory. The CalPolyWiki articles are editable by our members and visitors (unregistered users) may not have access to edit all articles available in CalPolyWiki.
Your suggestions are very welcome. Thank you.

Have a great week.
