This could be the most talented league top to bottom in history. There was a time not long ago when our Broncos could count on at least three or four conference patsies. Now, perhaps there's one left in SF State. As a result, you see San Diego, Stanislaus and Dominguez doing damage all over the league. And yes Chris, you are right, now LA is proving much tougher than we would like.
Our destiny still rests in our hands. I like your confidence, LAKDOD, even though I believe it will take an almost superhuman team effort to beat the 'Yotes on their floor. In order to host the tournament we almost need a sweep in the upcoming three brutal road games, an unlikely task. We should throw a party if we go 2-1.
On the other hand, were we to get swept we could fall to the bottom of the regional poll. That's how crucial these upcoming roadies are, beginning with those home cookin' refs at East Gym in Arcata Thursday.
Our men simply let way too many teams hang around too long, and that's a concern. Our lack of a knockout blow suggests that we likely finish third, or possibly even fourth, unless we learn to finish. If the Jacks sweep us and our travel partner they and the Yotes look tough down the stretch.
Xiaoxue, I see your point about the contest. That is an almost zero chance to win and it gives absolutely no chance for the female part of the student body. I'm sure the Athletic Department reads this thread and takes the fan's observations into account when it plans future promotions. Remember, what you see is far better than what we've had until recent years. Let's give our campus time to improve, and give them credit for making this a better place. Who knows? Maybe next time around it will be you doing some crazy task for some free item!
BTW, throw some props to Neon for a career night...31 for our stud. And yet another double-double for double-trouble LG.
