Within a month or most likely, the next quarter, Cal Poly Forums will have a new competitor.
It was Wednesday and I was in my IBM 301 class. Minutes before the class began, a student from another class popped right in and asked if everyone can participate in his survey. I do not recall which campus organization he was from.
The survey was simple and as follows:
Code:
1) Would you want to see a picture of yourself on a website?
2) Do you want to see a picture of your friend(s) on a website?
3) Do you want a website that allows people to download/upload pictures?
4) Would you use the website?
And on Friday in the IBM 301 class, my professor passes a survey to all the students.
Code:
1) Do you want to see a website that allows student to exchange textbooks, bypassing the bookstore?
2) Would you want to see a site with pictures of Cal Poly students?
3) Would you like a site where students can download/upload pictures to the website?
There were about 10 questions but I forgot the others.
As you can see, there will be competition and will not be friendly.
I am not concerned with the upcoming sites but what concerns me is if whether the sites are related to ASI in any way. If it is,

might be a challenge for Cal Poly Forums.
