| I took both the Beginners and the Advanced golf class last year too and the instructor cancels each class if the grass field is soak and wet and continues to rain in the morning (affects winter quarter).
Since the class size is rather large, don't expect to get a professional lesson. But I did learn all the basic essentials from taking the class and getting outside lessons from experienced golfers. For those that are planning to take the class, I recommend you go out to a tee driving range and a few 9-holes for a 'hands on' practice. And learn the basics of the basic by reading books, watch tutorial dvds, reading online. Learning the proper way to swing your club is critical, is like night and day when going out to the range.
