Newcomer Usergroup
CalPolyOnline.com forum has gotten over 20 new registrations each day for the past eight days. 90% of the new registrants were solicitors (spammers) based on the registration e-mail address they provided. To deter spammers from spreading unwanted private messages (PM), sending spam emails, and posting spam threads across the forum, a new usergroup has been created.

New registered members will be in the 'Newcomers' usergroup. When the new member reaches over 10 posts and three days have passed since registration, they will be promoted to the 'Members' usergroup. The Members usergroup have full access to all the features at CalPolyOnline.com.

Newcomer Usergroup Restrictions
Can Not Use Email to Friend
Can Not Download Attachments
Can Not Post Threads (can make posts but not 'create' a new thread)
Can Not Rate Threads
Can Not Post Polls (can still vote on polls)
Can Not Post Events in the Calendar
Can Not Upload Profile Pictures
Can Not Use Signatures
Can Not Use Reputation
Can Not Give Infractions to Others
PM is disabled

The usergroup settings will changed back to normal once the spam ceases. Sorry for the inconvenience.
