i agree cal poly north will be better. the past few years have been rough for the 'stangs after going to the big west finals in 2003. some observers have them in the top three or four in the league, typically behind pacific and long beach state.

am not sure that soft early schedule will help though. yes, it may save coach his job, but pacific and irvine by comparison are playing some major big time schools and not the patsies bromley has located thumbing rides to SLO.

when strength of schedule factors in the mustangs lose big time. that said, fifteen wins is highly attainable and perhaps one or two more. would think they need eighteen to be an NIT candidate, including another trip to the conference finals.

amazingly they draw fairly well at mott gym with such lame opponents. must be little or nothing to do around the central coast?
