I'm a psychology major, however, I have not had any of these professors before, but here is what I have heard about some of them.
Meg Clark- Extremely smart, but difficult profeesor. Exams are difficult. I heard they consists of essay questions and I also heard that you have to be in the set mind set as Dr. Clark in order to do well in her class. To do well in her class you must work very hard. All psychology majors dread her history systems class.
Jeff Mio-Excellent professor who delivers and explains the material pretty well. His exams are difficult from what I hear. Students must be well prepared in order to do well on his exams. Mio has a website so you can check out his course syllabi. Just click on people search and type in "Mio" in the dialogue box and put a check mark next to faculty. Then press enter. You should find his website there.
Brian Johnson-I have received mix reviews about him, some are good and some are bad. Students say that he assigns a lot of reading and sometimes he deviates from the topic being discussed.
Sandra Moore and Jack Fong-I haven't heard very much about them so I don't know very much.
I recommend taking Human Sexuality (PSY 455) with Dr. Lori Barker-Hackett. She is extremely smart, very friendly, and is able to deliver the material in a simple manner that students can understand. You can use this class for area D4 under your general education area or under your unrestricted electives. This class is awesome. You will learn a great deal and have a good time doing so.
I also recommend that you visit www.gradecalpoly.com to look at extensive reviews for the professors you requested before signing up for Spring 2006. Best of luck to you.
