| One political option to take: Vote No on all propositions.
Reasons: A lot of reasons why this special election was called for was because the legislative branch did not pass a lot of measures the governor wanted, so he decided to take it to the people and have them decide. That is all fine and dandy, but couldn't most of it wait a year? Couldn't it wait a year for the millions of dollars this will cost?
The last special election cost ~$30 million dollars (the one that put the governor in office.) The state refused to reimburse the counties. Local governments are paying for these state matters.
I do not know if i will take this stand, but it's a reasonable option to protest the happenings. On the other hand, its water on the bridge - and we shouldn't know and complain about it - but move on and vote for how we view. |
