1. If you are applying to either CE or CompSci it will hurt your chances because you fall under the average for admitted students to those majors. I'm assuming this is a weighted gpa, however. If it's your unweighted, you should be fine.

2. My unweighted gpa was 3.7 and my weighted was a 4.0.

3. I'd take technical AP classes like AP Calc and AP Physics. These will not only give you a leg up in understanding concepts, but will get some units out of the way. I also took AP enlglish when I was in high school and knocked out the intro english course. That was pretty awesome. Anyway, just keep your weighted gpa over a 4.0 for the rest of this year and ya should be admitted provided your SAT scores are 1250+.
