Summer is the best in California...in the morning it can be from 80 degrees to the upper 90 degrees depending on the area (coastal or inland).
Summer nights are even better...for example last night the temperature was in the low 70s past mid-night...just perfect for driving w/ the top down...
By the way, I'm referring to Southern California...Norther n California (ex. San Francisco) is completely different...the temperature is usually in the upper 70s in the morning and gets cold night...
