| Correct. "W"s do not affect your GPA calculation at all, however, if you get a lot of them professors and employers wonder why you took a class and dropped out within the first 3 weeks.
If an employer asks, explain that you dropped within the first week because "reason here." Some other colleges, that are not so academically challenging allow you drop really late in their quarter/semester. So sometimes W's are percieved by "near Fs" by employers. Depending on your major/employer, one W is insignifigent.
In the future try to drop within the first 6 days of class to not recieve a "W" and have the record removed from your transcript. |
