Can I use an email client to check my Cal Poly email messages?

Yes. To receive your e-mail though a client application like Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express or Eudora, you will need to enter the correct POP and SMTP settings. If you receive e-mail on the Intranet, the incoming POP server would be mail.csupomona.edu. If you are using POP or IMAP in connecting to the campus Exchange servers, the server name is exchange.csupomona.e du. If you are using Outlook to connect to Exchange, it is recommended that you use the Outlook/Exchange connection (MAPI) instead of POP or IMAP. When using Outlook to connect to exchange (via MAPI), the server name is outlook.csupomona.ed u. There are step-by-step guides available to help you configure you email client at the web page http://www.csupomona.edu/ehelp/instruction_guides.h tml.
