Smile Great Questions!

Hello again. Yall are asking great questions. Thanks for the interest!

For the Innovation Village, the entire area is on campus property and there will be a great benefit for the entire community. The role of the Innovation village is to bring in industry that will enhance the university with the learn by doing approach. such as, it is in the contract with the American Red Cross that they will supply internships, job opportunities, and the potential for class room instruction of cal poly pomona students. The great news is that Cal Poly students will have first rights to internships and any jobs that they believe are pre-graduate level. Other benefits are obviously what prestige this brings cal poly pomona and the city of pomona. This will open the door for incredible amounts of revenue for the entire community.

Plans for student housing...I am not 100% sure what the projections are, but if I remember correctly there are plans for additional suites in the future. I will find out more to give a better answer.

For Greek Housing, I have been in contact with the University Foundation Real estate officer with this very discussion. The University President Dr. Michael Ortiz, the Provost Dr. Tomas Morales, and the Interim VP of Student Affairs Gary Frederickson are all in favor of bringing a Greek Row to campus. This will be one of the discussion items if I am elected President.

For iKwak: The business building is in progress with the planning phase. The Laptop Initative has begun earlier last week. The proposal would be to have faculty members with a laptop for there use in the classroom and office. It will be about 50 laptops per year to them.

Thanks for the questions and Keep them coming.
