In my opinion, the professors at Cal Poly are okay. Some of them are really good in terms of their teaching style and explaining materials while others are not as good. These instructors do not present the material well enough and therefore students become confused and even frustrated. I don't know about professors in other departments, but as far as the behavioral science department I can say that during my time here at Cal Poly Pomona I have had mostly good instructors and a few poor instructors. Those instructors that I thought were pretty good presented the material pretty well and brought it down to a level where the students could understand, but in addition I also kept up with reading which makes it easy. Those that I considered poor instructors did not follow exactly what was printed on the syllabus. One instructor I had was about a week and a half behind schedule because she was absent about half the time. Nontheless I did fairly well in her class. Go to www.gradecalpoly.com. This website gives extensive reviews of many of the professors at Cal Poly Pomona. It has helped me quite a bit.
