| To buy any purebred dog from a source other than a dog pound will always be pricey. I've always thought purebreds are highly overrated and stupid. A dog is a dog. The more "pure" it is, the more likely it is to be inbred with genetic defects. But anyway, I and any veterinarian will tell you the best place to get a new "best friend" is at a dog pound. Rescue one from being destroyed. Lots of dogs out there named "Lucky" for just that reason.
