Welcome to the forum CharStar. I don't live too far from Cal Poly Pomona because I live in West Covina. So that's not too bad. As far as campus involvment here is a list of clubs that we currently have a Cal Poly:
http://www.csupomona.edu/directories/osl/index.php. If you don't mind me asking what is your major? I'm not too involved at Cal Poly, but I'm a psychology major and joined Psi Chi. Psi Chi is alright though. I had the opportunity to meet others who were also psychology majors. Plus its very informative because they talk about things like grad school and speakers come in to share there insight. Anyhow, I suggest that you join a club in your major if there is one. It can be pretty informative and you get to meet lots of other people.
