Service that Cal Poly Forum offers for the members:
Resume in PDF Format (
What is PDF?)
Nowadays, employers and intern recruiters are accepting or demanding resumes via e-mail or on a website. Wouldn't you like to impress your prospective employer with a professional copy of your resume in a Portable Document Format (PDF) rather than an ordinary Microsoft Word document or a notepad?
Adobe Reader is a free software tool that lets you view and print PDF files and most likely, it comes pre-loaded in new PCs so that PDF resumes can viewed by your employer.
Can you tell the difference?
(Sample images will be posted by or before Monday.)
So how does these work?
The member must send their copy of the resume with their username and e-mail address for service. The file must either be a Microsoft Word file, Notepad, Wordpad, or a OpenOffice Text Document for the PDF conversion.
Sounds good so far. But what is the fee?
There is no fee for the members of Cal Poly Forum. However, due to schedule and limited time, CPF can only accept one request per member and per month.
