| A lot of holidays have pagan elements in it. When the Romans were conquering they couldn't exactly force people to adopt a new religion, so they incorporated similar elements of their native faith to make the new religion easier to adopt. That's how you have the easter bunny and probably santa claus too.
Some people don't celebrate Christmas specifically, some like the ideas behind it -- they celebrate the spirit of giving and being generous or helpful to your fellow humans. It's about peace and love baby! |
