I'll be very straight forward. I believe in a Biblical prophecy of Armageddon taking place in which the anti-Christ wipes out a lot of people during a tribulation and the bloodiest battle ever. The Christians will have rapture because of their covenant with Jesus Christ and be taken up into heaven. It is somewhere in the New Testament, try using the Book of John for background. This may sound out of place but is already out of context with what we are already discussing. If you wish to challenge this for a basis, then I'll have to finish reading the Bible even quicker. |
So basically the world is either going to hell or getting vaporized in some way, at some indeterminate time in the future, so we shouldn't bother to research for the future. I'm not challenging the prophecies of either the Bible or the astrophysicists. But living in fear is no way to live. Cryonics is based on giving back the life that was prematurely taken from an individual due to a fatal disease. Cure the disease and let the person live out the rest of their life. That's the idea behind cryonics.
The real question for me is, after a person has died, do their memories go with them? Reviving a person and curing their disease wouldn't help anyone if they couldn't remember anything.
