The statement about grandparents being cynical.... most grandparents already ARE cynical and they, for the most part, do not fear death. Those who are interested in cryonics want more out of life, they aren't ready to leave yet. They aren't the cynical ones.

Exactly, I was thinking cryonics is based on immortality. I just had a gut feeling about something bad occurring. One idea sticks in my head: bringing people back from the dead. Add to that, the cloning of new organs persay. I have heard about an idea of taking a piece of skin and then generating a perfect DNA strand. From word of mouth by a former House of Representative, my Government/Politics teacher, it is possible to make any technological advancement. If it is not the way I view it, like sticking a corpse (mutilated or not) in a machine and then switching the on button, then I will not object to it.
