Entrepreneurship - Almaraz, Jeanne

Professor: Dr. Jeanna Almaraz
Course: MHR 320 - Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
Textbook: Essentials of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management 4th Edition by Thomas W. Zimmerer & Norman M. Scarborough

The course itself has a lot to offer. You form a group with 4 to 5 other students in class that have a similar interest in a small business (e.g. boutique, nightclub, sports bar, storage company, and etc.). Your group is assigned to do research on the industry, location, competitors, competitive advantage, marketing plan, and etc.
There is 3 quiz (exams) and no finals. Your group presentation of the business idea is the final assignment.
Attendance is taken and is not taken lightly. Tardiness also affects your grade. The quizzes are not too difficult. It is a lot of work. Great class.
