Summer 2005 (August 5 – September 20) Program Description
Cal Poly Pomona in conjunction with the University of Hannover is offering students an exciting opportunity to participate in a summer 2005 academic program in the US and Germany. Participating students led by Cal Poly Pomona faculty will take three courses and present a term paper related to their area of interest.
Participants will have opportunities to travel inside Germany (for example Berlin, Munich) and outside Germany (for example Amsterdam, London, Paris) including a week of study in the Alps, and meet German students and professors, and exchange ideas with them.
Program costs estimates: $1,500
Includes: room, instruction, full week in the Alps (board and room), mandatory insurance (see below for additional costs).
$200 scholarship available – for each participating students when program is fully booked
Courses in English Language (12 units): EC 442 – International Field Studies in Germany
EC 499 – Economic History of Germany, 1945-2003
IBM 414/41 – International Marketing and Management
Program Pre-Requisites: This program is open to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Business (including CIS) and Economics from Cal Poly Pomona.
Additional costs to students: Cal Poly Pomona fees (approx. $840), flight (round trip is approx. $1000). Total cost will be approximately $3450. Meals in Hannover are offered at a subsidized rate (complete lunch costs approx. $2.50).
